Rose Falls - Los Padres National Forest - Ojai

ROUND TRIP: 1.5 Miles

DIFFICULTY: ROSE FALL - EASY (One Little Stream Crossing)

There's lots to visit in and around the Los Padres National Forest. Don't be shy to ask the visitor center for maps. They will be more than happy to highlight all there is to see.

Trail Head: Ojai California

From the 101 Freeway in Ventura take the 33 to Ojai. Right before the Ojai town center the 33 will veer to the left. Keep going until you enter the Los Padres National Forest. Within a couple of miles past the entrance of the National Forest you will see the Ranger Station / Visitor Center on your right. You will need to obtain a daily parking pass for $5 to park your vehicle near the falls. You can obtain maps and directions to the falls and other points of interest in the forest.

Keep going a few more miles on the 33 and eventually you will see the turn off on the right towards rose falls. You will have to go down about 1 1/2 mile and turn right into the campground at the 4-way crossing by the lake. At the end of the campground on the left is the trail head to the falls.

(When you leave the visitor center keep your eye out for a small water fall on the left hand side half way to the Rose Fall turn off)

Trail to Rose Fall

The trail starts off narrow with a little stream crossing. You then head onto an un-maintained trail. It's a relatively easy walk to the fall.
